Innovation Pod will be running its award-winning Coding Clubs here at Oak Cottage in September 2024.  Read about our curriculum and find full details about the clubs below.

Years 1-6

Children in KS1 will be studying our exhilarating Astrocode and Coding with Animals.  Our new, exciting ’Astrocode’ module takes place on various websites where children continue to learn the fundamentals of coding in a space-themed environment. Pupils will complete space missions involving stars and rockets using various coding skills such as loops, events and conditionals. In our fun Animal Coding module, children learn coding in an engaging and rewarding environment that utilises gaming elements to teach programming concepts. Some of the activities also teach text-based coding so children learn to program like a real developer.

Dates and times:
Clubs take place straight after school until 4:30pm
 
Years 1-6: Thursday
From 7th October - 12th December
 

Snack: 
As our club is straight after school, parents can pack a healthy snack in accordance with the school's food policies.  

Pick-up and drop off:
Children are collected from their classroom and taken straight to their club.  At the end of the session, children will be either picked up by a guardian from the front entrance or taken to another provision at the school.

Price:
£7.00 (inc. VAT) per session.  Payment for the full 6 weeks (2nd half term) is taken as a one-off Direct Debit of £42

This is NOT a recurring payment and you will NOT be entered into a subscription.
